Condolence From: Deb (Cornish) Rinko
Condolence: My thoughts and prayers go out to Ruth's family. I know she will be missed dearly. I had the pleasure of knowing her through my fellowship with the Warren Congregational Church. Her hard work, smiles and laughter were a great inspiration to all.

Condolence From: Jeannie Pasacreta, PhD, APRN
Condolence: To Ruth's family, I want to offer my heartfelt condolences to all of you. Ruth was truly one of a kind and my life was blessed by knowing her. Behind her small stature and unpretentious style was a woman with steadfast human values, contentment with the simple, most beautiful aspects of life, great intelligence coupled with even greater wisdom, devotion to a career centered on service to others and above all, a love of family. I met Ruth somewhere around 1986 when she interviewed me for a job at Danbury Hospital. She was pregnant with her first child at the time and I was initially hired as a temporary replacement for her upcoming "maternity leave." Although some specifics may suffer inaccuracies imposed by time, my memory of Ruth's essence, her excitement about becoming a mom, the fact that she worked up until the point of going into labor and the impact she had on my life remain crystal clear. I am writing this note specifically to let her family know how much Ruth meant to me and the enormous impact she had on others, specifically the many patients she helped over the years as well as her devotion to elevating the status of advanced practice nurses in modern healthcare. Although we spent only three years working together on the psychiatric liaison service at Danbury Hospital, our common career interests kept us in touch at various intervals for brief albeit meaningful interactions over the course of many years. When I learned of Ruth's passing, I was deeply saddened and immediately remembered her small pregnant frame, her high energy and mostly the excitement she felt about being a wife and a mom. I also remembered all she taught not only professionally but also what she taught me about what is truly important in life. Ruth will be missed even to those who knew her only briefly. She left a lasting legacy that will stand the passage of time and I remain blessed that she touched my life.

Condolence: We express our deepest sympathy to Ruth's family at this time of great loss. Ruth was truly a special person who loved her God and her church and community, and her work in the nursing field. She is greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She fought her disease valiantly. May her family feel peace and comfort in the presence of God and expressions of love and sympathy as they grieve.
