The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Larry Skeie can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Kathy Richardson

My Dad is Duane Brown, "Brownie" who worked for Skeie Pontiac as service manager in the 1970's until your business closed. My Dad & Mom live in Texas now, near my sister, Joni, and are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary Jan 27, 2015. I was searching how to spell "Skeie" for the article I will be placing in the Ames Tribune & came across the sad news of L.J.'s passing. Not sure we ever met, but I remember my Dad talking about L.J. frequently & fondly. Dad enjoyed his time with Skeie Pontiac & had the upmost respect for L.J. & his father. Denny Christianson & Ron Seivers were Dad's mechanics & the best he ever knew. I will share this sad news with my parents when we are in Texas to celebrate their anniversary. I do hope you receive this message & know how very highly my father thought of L. J. Sending prayers. Kathy Brown Richardson (Brownie's youngest daughter)
