Obituary

KRISTINE (JOHNSON) MOTHERSELE
Kristine passed away on April 11, 2020 after a brief but difficult battle with lung cancer. She was a resident of Bristol, CT prior to her death. She was born on Oct. 30, 1947 to the late Edward and T. Virginia Johnson. She was raised in the Kent Hollow section of Kent and graduated from Kent Center School and Washington HS. She went on to obtain a BA in education from CCSU. She taught English and Theater Arts at Berlin HS for many years. She loved sharing her passion for the stage with her students. She produced and directed 10 productions while at Berlin HS. After staying home to raise her son she reentered the workforce in varying careers before spending 20 years in the environmental consulting field.
She is survived by her son, Justin Mothersele of Wauregan, Ct; sister, Linda (Michael) Ajello of Warren, Ct; and brother Timothy (Nina) Johnson of Marbledale, CT. She is also survived by nieces, Laura Esposito, Casey Ajello, Cora Munoz, Jackie Ajello; and nephews Edward Cheney and Christian Munoz. She will be missed by all as well as many longtime friends.
She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Cheney and brother, Alden Johnson as well as her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kent Center School Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 794 Kent, CT. 06757 or The Petit Family Foundation P.O. Box 310 Plainville, CT 06062.

Oh Kristine. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to reconnect with you. You are now with some heavy hitters up in the heavens. You sure didn't need Gabriel to welcome you in, I'll bet that your mother wailed on that sax the moment she caught sight of you. Our family reunion will have to wait a bit more. Linda and Tim, please accept my condolences on your loss--she was a force of nature.
