Obituary

Doris Labaha Robinson, 91, lifelong resident of Goshen joined her childhood sweetheart and late husband of 69 years, George E. Robinson, on September 11, 2020. She was born on February 24, 1929 and was brought up on the family farm in Northfield by Mary and John Labaha. In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her son, Dennis E. Robinson, her grandson, Bruce Robinson, her daughter-in-law, Sue Robinson, her brothers; John, Peter and Phillip Labaha and her favorite cousin, Don Krowchenko.

Doris is survived by her children; Mary Sokol of Colorado, George E. Robinson (Sue) and Gregory Robinson (Melissa) of Iowa, Patricia Zeiner (Mark) of Goshen, and Donald Robinson of Cape Cod, her daughter-in-law, Brenda Robinson (Dennis) of Torrington ,her sister, Helen Carberry and 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many cousins.

Doris and George enjoyed attending their grandchildren’s sports events, traveling to Maine and Hawaii, many trips to picnic in Seaside Park and Catskill Game Farm, blueberry picking on the mountain, working at Mohawk, antiquing and gardening. They were avid Red Sox and Uconn basketball fans. Doris was spirited and a talented cook and baker. She enjoyed stenciling, sewing, crocheting, canning, decorating ceramics and shopping. She had a flare for style.
She was a member of the grange, Goshen Congregational Church, Goshen Garden Club, PTO, Goshen Agricultural Society, and a Den mother for scouts in her younger years.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to thank the Goshen Fire Department for their services. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Goshen Fire Department, P.O. Box 193, Goshen, CT 06756.
