Lifeguard on Long Island

LITCHFIELD — Mr. Zachariah Snow Crane died unexpectedly in Torrington on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at the age of 21.

Zach is survived by his sister, Kayleigh Snow Crane, his mother, Wendy Sue Snow-Crane, and his father, Richard P. Crane Jr. of Litchfield.

Zach was born on Nov. 6, 1994, in Hazleton, Pa. to Wendy Snow-Crane and Richard P. Crane Jr. Zach graduated from Litchfield High School in 2013. He was the goalie for the Litchfield High School 2011 Class S finalists. He swam for the Torrington YMCA and the Litchfield High School swim team. Zach also participated on the track team at Litchfield High School. Zach was a member of the Jones Beach Lifeguard Corps on Long Island, N.Y. He lifeguarded at Robert Moses field three. He had been a lifeguard since 2010.

A funeral is scheduled for (today) Monday, Dec. 7, 2015. Viewing will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. A service will be held after. All will take place at Rowe Funeral Home in Litchfield, 06759. Father Tucker will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Zachariah's life.
