Samuel Primo Bertaccini III
LITCHFIELD, CT

Samuel Primo Bertaccini III, born and raised in Litchfield, CT, passed away on November 9, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones.

Sammy was born on July 1, 1966. He graduated from Litchfield High School where he earned his varsity letter as the basketball team’s ball boy. He was especially proud to participate during the team’s Berkshire League Championship victory season. Throughout his life he enjoyed many activities including 4-H, Boy Scouts and the Little Britches Riding Club. Sammy was also a long time Special Olympian as well as an Altar Boy for the Catholic Church in Bantam.

Sammy is survived by his parents, Sam and Linda Bertaccini; his sister, Barbara Veillette, her husband Aaron and children Danielle, Chelsea & Jonathan; his sister, Gia Urion, her husband Ned and family: Neddy, Jamie, Jack and Sammy’s great-nephew Jordan; his sister, Susie Pregno and her husband Mike. He also leaves his godparents; Beverly Usher and Roger “Dodgie” Doyle.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, November 12 from 4pm – 7pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield 06759. A Mass will be held on Friday, November 13 at 11am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 715 Bantam Road, Bantam, CT 06750. Burial will follow in Headquarters Cemetery, Headquarters Road, Litchfield.
