The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert Pivirotto can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

run through the jungle

Bob and I had to perform many duties in Vietnam, on one occasion we were outside of our perimeter on a LZ waiting for fuel to be air dropped by chopper, when our tank broke down. All of a sudden the jungle around us opened up. We were about 100 yards or so from the perimeter and Bob and I started running back in. It was almost like a foot race, except  for all the bullets flying it would of been. As we were running through the jungle, we kept looking at each other as to see if either one of us was hit, God was with us on that day, because we both went flying over the "Burm" unharmed. We looked over to each and started grinning from ear to ear like we had just won the lotto. I will never forget that grin.
