Condolence: Dear Family of Chris Brown,

My deepest sympathies to you and your loved ones.

I met Chris about 10 years ago at a music event, and remember having a great conversation, exchanging cards. Not long after, I ran into him at a music party, and we enjoyed playing some jazz together. I was fortunate to have that opportunity 4 or 5 more times over the years, always planning to do more, however life kept getting in the way (mine! - I have a 4 y.o. son..), but he had such a warm vibe, both as a man, and as a musician, that I always fully appreciated every encounter. As an outdoorsman and avid hiker myself, I would have liked to have made him a closer friend, and I regret not making that effort, because I always liked Chris, and appreciated his purity of spirit; his honesty (including the time he let me know he did not appreciate something I said - and he was right!), and his peacefulness and warmth. I shall miss him.

Condolence: Suzanne Sheridan and I want you to know how much we grieve for you. Chris was our dear friend and colleague. We know how much we will miss him and we can only imagine how much you will miss him. It was music that brought us together, music that made Chris part of our family and music which will allow us to say goodbye. We send our love and sincerest condolences.
