Frances H. Russell, 93, passed away on August 7, 2014 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Russell. Frances was born on June 5, 1921 to the late Andrew and Mary (Harcarik) Harnicar.

Frances was very dedicated to her work, having been employed at SNET for 40 years and was a very devoted mother and housewife.

She is survived by her son Bill Russell of Bethlehem, daughter Janet Russell of Bethlehem, two brothers; Andrew Harnicar of Washington Depot and Albert Harnicar of Litchfield, three sisters; Mary Bassett of Nevada, Helen Forsythe of Morris, and Marjorie Hotchkiss of Torrington along with several nieces and nephews.

Frances was predeceased by her brother Joseph who was killed in action in WWII.

The family would like to thank her health aides; Nancy, Amy and Nancy for the exceptional care that they gave to Frances.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Little Guild of St. Francis, 285 Sharon-Goshen Turnpike, West Cornwall, CT 06796.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11:30AM at Church of the Nativity, 48 East Street, Bethlehem, CT 06751. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
