James H. Graham, Sr., 79, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Carol (Anderson) Graham. Jim was born on December 5, 1933 in Torrington, CT to the late Thomas and Lucy (Burakowski) Graham.

Jim attended Torrington schools and he graduated from Torrington High School in 1951. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1955. Jim was the owner of Graham Construction in Litchfield, CT for many years. After retiring from his construction business he worked as a Building Inspector for the City of Torrington.

Jim enjoyed spending time with his family. As an avid outdoorsman, Jim enjoyed traveling; especially going on hunting and fishing trips with his family and friends.

Jim was a part of the Bantam Fire Department and served as an officer. He volunteered for the Bantam Ambulance and was an EMT instructor.

Jim was a parishioner at the Our Lady of Grace Church, in Bantam.

Jim is survived by his five children, James H. Graham Jr of Kodiak AK, Patricia (Pat) N. Juhlin and her husband, Alan of Kodiak, AK, Mary (Gigi) G. Breed and her husband, Allen of Marblehead, MA, Linda I. Graham and her husband, Andy Shilosky of Burlington, CT, and John M. Graham and his wife, Carolyn (Beach) of Litchfield, CT, his 14 grandchildren; Katherine (Graham) Katzung and her husband John of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Andrew Graham and his wife, Angela of Kodiak, AK, George Juhlin and his wife Jessie of North Pole, AK, Jamie (Juhlin) Denton and her husband Jeffrey of Poulsbo, Washington, Robert Juhlin and his wife, Bryttani, Billy Juhlin and his girlfriend Rosie Ramos, Jessie Juhlin and his girlfriend Jessie Miller also of Kodiak AK; Edward Breed and Alaina Breed from Marblehead, MA,; Jillian Grabowski of Wallingford, CT, Kristen (Grabowski) Peterson and her husband Jonathan Peterson of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; Cortney Graham and Thomas Graham and his girlfriend, Kaitlyn Barber of Litchfield, his 12 great- grandchildren, Charlotte and Elise Katzung; Anthony James (AJ), Anslee and Anderson Graham; Anthony Josiah (AJ) Juhlin; Kylie Rose and Emily Denton, Damean (DD) and OliviaMae Juhlin; Loghan Ramos; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Carol, and parents, he was predeceased by his son William (Billy Joe) J. Graham of Litchfield, CT, and his brother Thomas of Florida.

Calling hours will be held be held from 6-8 pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. There will be a private service and burial at Our Lady of Grace Church in Bantam.
