Obituary for Timothy Kenneth Ventry

Timothy Kenneth Ventry passed away in his home on January 22nd, 2023.

Timothy was born in Niagara Falls, New York on December 15, 1954. In 1970, his family moved to Wallingford, Connecticut, where he worked on the Wall's Farm and graduated high school from Lyman Hall in 1973. After graduating, he worked in the kitchen of the Masonic Home & Hospital. When his parents moved again to Harwinton, Connecticut, he took a job working for Waring in Torrington. After marrying his wife, Wendy L. Clarke, of Cheshire in June of 1974, he started working for AMF CUNO in filtration assembly until the end of 1982. In January of 1983, he started his primary career at Reflexite where he worked in the maintenance division and held various other positions over the next 31 years.

In May of 1990, he graduated from the Connecticut Municipal Police Training Council as a certified officer and resumed his conservation duties as a part-time Fish and Wildlife Constable for the town of Wallingford, which he was very passionate about.

In part with his primary career, he graduated at the top of his class and received the Director's Award from New England Technical Institute for air conditioning, heating & refrigeration in September of 1993. He also held two other certificates from Ferris State University from 1993 and 1995.

Timothy was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, hike and photograph. He loved building and constructing things. He was also a car, truck and motorcycle enthusiast. He loved to work and modify vehicles his entire life. He also loved to ride his motorcycles on long trips with his friends and go to big motorcycle events. He was a former member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and an associate member of the Meriden Motorcycle Club.

He is loved and will be missed by many. Timothy is survived by his son, Bryon D. Ventry of Torrington and his grandchildren; Gina D. Ventry, Cadence A. Ventry and Mason P. Ventry, from his late son, Timothy J. Ventry. He was predeceased by his oldest son, Timothy J. Ventry, his brother, Daniel F. Ventry, his parents, Joseph P. Ventry & Arbutus (Tillie) J. Ventry.
