Obituary

Thomas E. Richardson

HARWINTON – Thomas E. Richardson passed away on March 7, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was the son of the late Robert and Lavinia (Dougal) Richardson. He worked for 33 years for the Dept. of Transportation Signs and Markings Division. After his retirement, he worked for Latulipe Construction and then Fairview Farms Golf Course, during the construction and maintenance of it. He enjoyed working in his yard and raising his famous fresh turkeys who he gave to family and friends at Thanksgiving. Tom also enjoyed his late yellow labs, Shane and Lady, his golden retrievers, the late Truman and currently Lincoln. Tom was always willing to help anyone he could. He was an avid Green Bay Packer, Boston Red Sox and Dodger fan.

Tom is survived by his wife, Lisa Jarmosik of Harwinton; his son, Shawn (Sandy Sabia) of Torrington; his daughter, Kelly Tonetti and her husband, Dave, of Torrington; Ashley and Alyssa from his extended family; his brothers, Jim of North Carolina, Robert and Chet of Torrington; his sister, Peg of Winchester; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Sam, George, Joe and John and his sisters, Ruth, Joan and Shirley.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, March 16, at West Cemetery, Cemetery Road, in Harwinton.

Kelly and Shawn, I was very sad to learn of your dad’s passing. I remember the fun times we had on South Main St. when you kids were very little. We always had fun when he was around. Please extend my condolences and my prayers to your family.
