Torrington – Theodore “Ted” Brochu, 73, of Torrington, CT, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. Ted was born in Winsted, CT on June 28, 1949. He was the son of the late Lewella M. Brochu and Edward H. Brochu. He was employed by Seitz, LLC, Torrington, CT for many years. He is survived by his two sisters, Doreen Rhoades and Kathleen Brochu and one brother, David Brochu, along with his three nieces, Terri Craig, Terrie Clapps and Tracie Wellman, and his nephew, Daniel Brochu.
Ted attended Gilbert High School in Winsted and obtained his CDL, class B, from Allstate Commercial Driving School in Shelton. He was very talented at working in the automotive mechanical field. Ted worked in the manufacturing industry most of his life. He was very knowledgeable of machine set up and operations. He also worked for Osowiecki’s Automotive in Northfield and Hurley Manufacturing Co. in New Hartford.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 6:00pm-7:30pm at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield, CT. A service will begin at 7:30pm.
