Obituary for Samuel Primo Bertaccini Jr.
LITCHFIELD -Samuel Primo Bertaccini, Jr, proudly born and raised in Litchfield Connecticut passed away on May 10, 2019 in the comfort of his home.
Sam was born on January 5, 1945 to the late Samuel and Lillian (Miles) Bertaccini of Litchfield. He graduated from Litchfield High School and Hartford State Technical Institute. Sam married his high school sweetheart Linda Evangelisti, in 1965. He went to work for the State of Connecticut right out of school and became a Registered Land Surveyor in 1977. In 1984 he left the State and ran his land surveying business full time. He worked every day until he retired in 2017.
Sam is survived by his wife, Linda and his three girls and their families; Barbara and children Danielle, Chelsea and Jonathan; Gia, her husband Ned and family Neddy, Jamie and Jack; Susie and her husband Mike. He leaves three great grandchildren Jordan, Warren and Rowan and his loyal dog, Bacala. He is also survived by his sister, Vonda Kirchberger. He was predeceased by his hero, Samuel Primo Bertaccini, III.
Calling hours will be Monday, May 13, from 4pm to 7pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Rd., Litchfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 14, at 10:30 am. at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will follow in Headquarters Cemetery.
