Obituary for Sally Lukos (Anderson)

WATERTOWN - Sally (Anderson) Lukos, 86, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the Hospital of Special Care.
Sally was born on January 16, 1934 in Washington, Conn. to the late Einar and Dorothy (Cook) Anderson.
Sally grew up in Lakeside, Morris and settled in her beloved home in Watertown for nearly 60 years. She worked for private clients in housekeeping services. Sally was an avid reader and she greatly enjoyed collecting antiques, her garden, cooking, and she also took great pride in her Cook family ancestry and colonial roots along with her Swedish heritage. She enthusiastically prepared for the annual family picnics and gatherings every season. She was happy to see her recipes in the “Cook, Cook Book”. Sally was well known for her homemade jellies, jams and tomato sauce. Every fall she would complain that this was the last year for the sauce, and the end of the next summer would find her in the kitchen over a bubbling pot.
She is survived by two sons, Robert W. Lukos of Watertown and Gregory A. Lukos of Southbury; a brother, Donald Anderson of Lakeside; a sister, Marilyn Bernier of Torrington and many nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friend, Louise Kenney. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her friend and former husband, Paul William (Bill) Lukos in 2015; her brothers, Henry Anderson in 2019 and William Anderson in 1991; and her sister, Nancy Gilbert in 1999.
Burial will be private in the East Morris Cemetery. A Family Memorial will be held at a later date.
