Obituary for Ruth R. Vincenzi
Ruth R. Vincenzi, 89, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
Ruth was born on April 20, 1932, in Torrington Conn., to Ruth (Perregaux) Rothen and Charles Rothen. She graduated with her master’s degree in English Literature and taught for many years before she became the Classified Sales Manager at the Hartford Courant, a position she held until retirement. She also enjoyed traveling to Europe with her husband.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Santo, sister Violet, and granddaughter Amelia. She is survived by two sons, David (Lisa) of Litchfield and Mark (Kim) of Florida; three grandchildren, Victoria (Henry), David (Melanie) and Marissa (Jake); and two great-grandchildren, Chase and Maeve.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 7 at 11am at Hillside Cemetery, 76 Walnut St., Torrington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ruth’s granddaughter Amelia, to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, Administrative Office, 555 Longwharf Dr., New Haven, CT 06511; or to The Boston House, 229 Kent St, Brookline MA, 02446.
