Peter Joseph “Otto” Ottesen, age 67, of Rogersville, TN, formerly of Litchfield, CT, passed away
Wednesday, April 10, 2019 of respiratory failure and COPD resulting from pneumonia after a brief hospitalization. “Otto” as most knew him, was a Navy Veteran, a Past Post Commander and Permittee of the American Legion Post 27, a Bantam Volunteer Fireman and self-employed carpenter/cabinetmaker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl Russell and Rita O'Leary Ottesen; sister, Mary-Ellen
Ottesen and sister-in-law, Shirley Siddall Dunham.
Peter is survived by his wife, Pamela Siddall Ottesen; brother, Karl and Donna Marie Ottesen of
Columbia, CT; their children Kristen and Adam Silkes of Saunderstown, RI; Karl Russell Ottesen III of
Charlotte, NC and Scott Matthew Ottesen of Manchester, CT; brother-in-law, David and Bobby
(Barbara Jean) Siddall of Goshen; their daughters Kaylee and Nick Harrison of Pawcatuck, CT and
Nicole and Rich Cady of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Debra-Lynn Siddall Fritch of Torrington and Karl
Fritch of Litchfield; nephews, Michael Dunham, and Kevin and Felcia Dunham all of Fitzwilliam, NH.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, May 31, at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Rd., Litchfield. Burial with Military Honors will follow in East Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 1 pm - 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
