Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother
Litchfield - Patricia Ann Finn, age 70, died August 19, 2021 surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.
Patricia was born in Litchfield to Francis and Beatrice (Barney) Barry on February 10, 1951.
She loved and married Donald Finn on August 8, 1970. She taught locally including Warren and Goshen Elementary schools; and later managed Barry Construction, the business her grandfather built in Litchfield.
In addition to her husband of 51 years, Patricia is survived by four sons: Joshua (Megan F.), Matthew (Megan L.), Shaun (Melissa), and Taylor (Kathleen); and 8 grandchildren: Michaela, Caleb, Nathan, Sarah, Griffin, Grace, Francesca & Lukas. Many brother-and-sisters-in-law & nieces will miss her infectious smile. She was predeceased by two children; Alexandra and Andrew Finn, and granddaughter Jocilyn Finn.
Grandma Cookie taught us that in addition to our work ethic, we should make time for family. Camping trips, Sunday dinners, Holidays, and vacations are better spent together making memories with homemade meals, desserts baked with fresh ingredients, and a lot of fun. Year after year traditions like: apple picking, Easter egg hunts, pumpkin carving, wreath making, Christmas mornings, bike rides, evening swims, giving thanks on Thanksgiving and New Years toasts wove the fabric of her legacy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49 South Street, Litchfield followed by burial in Milton Cemetery Litchfield.
