Bantam - Mary Ruth Murphy, 93, passed away at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital on November 1, 2021. She was the wife of the late Wallace J. Murphy.
Mary was born in Torrington, September 18, 1928 daughter of the late Benjamen and Marjorie (Hallock) Stoddard and was a lifelong Bantam resident. She retired from B/E Aerospace.
Mary is survived by her son Wallace J. “Butch” Murphy, Jr., daughter Wanda Thompson, nine grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and twenty-two great-great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1:00pm at Bantam Cemetery, Bantam Road, Bantam. There are no calling hours.
