Margaret Cameron Lasky 83 passed away peacefully Friday October 11, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Waterbury CT on July 27, 1936 to the late James B and Dorothy Robinson Wilmot Cameron.
Margaret was the wife of the late Clarence (Clem) Lasky. She was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. She lived in Waterbury most of her life, where she raised her four boys, before moving to Northfield in 2008 to live with her son Ed and his family. She was an avid couponer, enjoyed reading, watching UCONN basketball and NY Yankees games as well as spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law. Albert and Michelle Lasky of Waterbury, Edward and Kim Lasky of Northfield, Kenneth of Waterbury, and David and Patti Lasky of Portland, CT. Thirteen grandchildren, Mark, Brian, Colleen, Michael, Darren, Anthony, Jennifer, Shawn, Brenda, Morgan, Samantha, Jamison Lasky and Kenneth Bond. Eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Robert Cameron and sisters Ruth Barrie and Lois Carney and Daughter-in-law Lisa Lasky.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Wolcott View Manor, the nurses and aids that spent time with her and helped keep her comfortable in her final years.
A service will be held Saturday October 26, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the service at the funeral Home
