Obituary for Judith Haynes

Judith Winzler Haynes
Mother, Grandmother, Friend

TORRINGTON – Judith Winzler Haynes, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. She was a mother, grandmother and friend to many.

Judy went to Harwinton Consolidated School and Lewis Mills Regional High School. In 1993, both Judy and her mom, Ethel, both went to Torrington High School and received their diplomas.

Before her disability, Judy had worked at various places including Aime’s, Wendy’s, Price Chopper and Goodwill.
She is survived by her parents, Ethel and George Winzler of Harwinton; her daughter, Courtney Brienza and husband, Tim; her son, Jeffrey; sisters, Victoria Hunter and Cindy Capra and husband, Louis Jr.; brother, Mark Winzler and wife, Kim; and grandchildren, Parker, Skyla, Ryanne, Nyla and Remo.

Judy was a friend to everyone. She was always smiling and spread joy wherever she went. She was always generous with a listening ear and would help anyone in need, even sharing her last dollar. She loved music and dancing with her mom at the park and anywhere the Bootleg Band played.

She has already begun to let us know she is with us by a beautiful pink vision in the sky and a visit of a group of butterflies. We expect her to continue to visit us in wonderful ways as she watches over us.

Please join her family and loved ones on Saturday, August 10 at 1:30 p.m. at the celebration of her life at The Knights of Columbus Hall, 152 Litchfield Street, Torrington. You may come at 1:30 p.m. The services will begin at approximately 3 p.m.

Due to allergies, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to https://www.gofundme.com/f/for-the-cost-of-judys-services to help pay for her funeral expenses for her services and a gravestone.
