Litchfield – John James Correll Sr., 79, passed away on January 11, 2022 in Torrington, Connecticut. He was the husband of the late Gertrude Correll. John was born on October 7, 1942 in Waterbury, Connecticut.
John worked as a factory worker for many years at The Torrington Company. He was also a United States Army Veteran. John grew up with a love of animals and spending time outside either fishing or working on the family farm.
John is survived by two sons; John Correll Jr. of Florida and Ronald Correll and spouse Wendy Correll of Burlington, Connecticut, his daughter, Ann Correll and Spouse Donald Tibbetts of Litchfield, Connecticut, his grandchildren; April Hubbard and husband Alexander Hubbard of Winsted, CT, Melissa Correll and boyfriend Scott Nadeau of Litchfield, CT and Jarrod and Jordyn Correll of Burlington, CT. John is survived by his brother Howard Correll and wife Barbra of Torrington, Connecticut and his two sisters; Ellen Empolee of Florida and Edna Reading of Harwinton, Connecticut. He was predeceased by his brothers, Charles Correll Jr. of Bristol, Connecticut and Timothy Correll of Plainville, Connecticut.
A graveside service at East Cemetery, Litchfield will be private.
