Beloved Mother and Grandmother

Bantam- Janet E. Thompson, 74, passed away on November 30, 2018 at Litchfield Woods.

She was the wife of the late Robert Thompson. Janet was born on Feb. 18, 1944 in Norwalk, CT to the late Irene and Clinton Cable.

Janet graduated from New Milford High School and had lived in New Preston for many years before moving to Bantam. She enjoyed working at White Flower Farm for 18 years in the shipping and receiving department. Janet loved sewing and quilting not only on her own, but also with the Bantam quilters who would meet weekly at the Bantam Borough Hall. She loved to garden with her kids and often gave them flowers from her job. She adored her grandchildren Ryan and Sydney and would gladly babysit every weekend to take them to the park and on small adventures. She liked sitting outside on sunny days and curling up on the couch or her favorite chair to watch Hallmark shows and cooking shows with her beloved cat, Bandit.

She is survived by two daughters; Tammy Morgan and her husband J. Scott Morgan and
Carol Thompson and her husband Rob McLaughlin, two grandchildren; Ryan S. Morgan and Sydney Thompson, and a brother, Robert Cable.

Calling hours are Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. A service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
