Obituary for James P. Penoyar
James P. Penoyar passed away on August 15, 2020 at Hartford Hospital. He was born to the late Frank E. Penoyar and Catherine Crowley with severe heart problems. He fought and persevered to live for 54 years.
James was a graduate of Marquette High School. He was an avid WWE wrestling and football fan, always routing for the Pittsburg Steelers. He was volunteer of the month for the Uconn Health Center and also loved volunteering with the animals at SBF Animal rescue. He had recently joined a Bowling League at Thomaston Lanes.
James is survived by his sister Amy Penoyar and her partner, Babette Maxon of MI, two nephews; Austin and Kyle Bugg, two great nephews, Ezra and Silas Bugg and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Christian Mayo and her staff for giving James the help and love to live independently.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SBF Animal Rescue, 96 Swimming Hole Road, Harwinton, CT 06791.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 4 from 4:00-6:00pm at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A memorial service will begin at 6:00pm. James would have appreciated if all who attend wear casual attire.
