Loving Mother and Grandmother
Litchfield - Helen Labaha Carberry, 95, passed away on January 7, 2021. Helen was born in Litchfield, Connecticut on March 22, 1925 to the late John and Mary Labaha. Helen was a loving mother not only to her own children, but to many other children. She was the best grandmother “BRAM” to her grandchildren.
Helen was raised and worked on her family farm, then worked for the light company, had her children, and went back to work for F North Clark Insurance Agency retiring at the age of 91.
As many of you knew our mom was caring, giving, helpful and was an independent hardworking person who was still mowing her own lawn and caring for her home up until recently. Keep up the good work – “MOM” – “BRAM”
Helen is survived by her three children; Lawrence Carberry (Kathryn), Mary French, Elaine Carberry and Jeff Stanescki who was like a “son”, four grandchildren; Nikki French, Robyn French, Danielle Carberry and Stephanie
Curtiss; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen was pre-deceased by her four siblings: John Labaha, Peter Labaha, Phillip Labaha and Doris Robinson.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 @ 12:00 at Northfield Cemetery Knife Shop Road Northfield CT.
