Genevieve Edith Bushman, 91, passed away on September 26, 2022 in Valdosta, Georgia. She was the wife of the late Anthony Bushman. Genevieve was born on September 21, 1931 in New Preston, Connecticut to the late Kenneth and Edith (Smalley) Cheney.
Genevieve most recently split her time between New Preston, Connecticut and Adel, Georgia. She enjoyed spending the winters in Georgia and summers in Connecticut where she loved to burn leaves. She loved playing games on her computer and scratch tickets.
She is survived by her six daughters; Jean Hudson, Edie Poletto, Dodie Anderson, Lynda Swanson and her husband Allan, Carolyn Haab and her husband Glenn, and Missy McLain and her husband Darryl, 14 grandkids; Pierre, Nichole, Robert, Christine, Cori, Skye, Madisyn, Dawn Marie, Angela, Colton, Carson, Dustan, George and Jordyn, 19 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Genevieve was predeceased by her three children; Anthony, Donna and George, three grandsons; Larry, Christopher and Brian, eight brothers and three sisters.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 1:00pm at Warren Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Warren, Connecticut.
