Obituary for Edward John Krukar

Edward J. Krukar
Dedicated, Hardworking Father of Three

Edward J. Krukar, 70, passed away on December 5, 2018. He was predeceased by wife, Linda Krukar of 33 years.

Ed was born on May 15, 1948 in Goshen to humble hardworking parents Fran and Ed. Ed’s first job was working on his grandmother’s dairy farm; this formed his impeccable work ethic. By age 5 Ed was operating farm equipment and producing more work than an adult man would do today. While Ed was working at the farm his nickname was Shadow because he was never more than a step behind his father.

Ed had said many times that he planned to work until the day he died. After over 3 decades with Hemlock Construction as a heavy equipment operator, he being a man of his word did exactly that. He passed unexpectedly at home after completing his last shift.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Sheilah Marchiano; his children Adam, Ed and Erik Krukar and Shirleen Whitehill; grandchildren, Andrue, Emma and Jessica Krukar and sisters, Nancy Timbrell, Marge Krukar and Katherine Krukar. In addition to his wife and parents, Ed was predeceased by his sister, Priscilla and brother, Andy.

Please join us in celebrating his life at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield, on Saturday, December 15th from 3 to 6 p.m.
