Obituary for Douglas Ross Allen
Goshen – Douglas Ross Allen, 74, passed away at home on October 22, 2022. He was the husband of Marianne (Kraynicki) Allen. Douglas was born on December 9, 1947 in New Haven, Connecticut to the late Norman and Elaine (Harrison) Allen.
Doug graduated from Amity High School and worked as a mechanic and as a farmer. He was still actively working on his farm. His greatest joys in life were his cows and his grandsons.
In addition to his wife, Marianne Allen, Douglas is survived by his daughter, Barbara Breor and her husband Thomas, two sons; Gary Allen and Chris Allen and his wife Audra, two grandsons; Adam Breor and Jacob Ngo, his brother Abe Allen and his wife Ariana, his sister Beverly Calcagni and her husband William and three nieces and a nephew.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 193, Goshen, Connecticut.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. Burial will be private.
