Obituary for Donald Herbert Sage
Bantam – Donald H. Sage, 88, passed away on February 16, 2021 at Keystone Place at Newbury Brook in Torrington. He was the husband of Helen M. Sage. Donald was born on September 8, 1932 in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Stanley and Olive Sage.
He was a Maintenance Foreman for the Connecticut Department of Transportation for 25 years, retiring in 1987. Don proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Don and Helen loved camping and traveled to all 50 states.
In addition to his wife Helen of Torrington, formerly of Bantam, Don is survived by two sons; Michael Sage of Lady Lake, Florida and Donald Sage and his wife Jeanne of Goshen, Connecticut, two daughters; Donna Bender and her husband Ron of Buckeye, Arizona and Terri Kelly and her husband Pat of Litchfield, Connecticut, his brother Henry Sage and his wife Pat from Leesburg FL, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his son, Ernie Sage.
