Obituary for Daryl F. Roberts
Shoreline, Washington – Daryl F. Roberts, 43, passed away on November 2, 2022 at home in Shoreline, Washington. He was the father of Aiden T. Roberts and Kaylee L. Roberts of Shoreline, Washington. He was born on February 4, 1979 in Torrington, Connecticut.
He was raised in Torrington, Connecticut and graduated from Bristol Technical High School and Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in 2003 and relocated to Seattle, Washington.
Daryl lived and worked in the greater Seattle, Washington area over the past nearly 20 years, where he shared his craft and vision with many. Daryl had two children with whom he spent many days nurturing, teaching, playing and providing for. Daryl’s fatherhood was a particular joy to see, as his ability to light up a room with his presence was an ongoing reality. Daryl shared his passion of culinary, creativity, and becoming a father with all who knew him and he will be sorely missed on both the west and east coasts.
He is survived by his father, Stanley B. Roberts (Lori) of Torrington, CT, his mother, Kathryn J. Doan (John C. deHaan) of Litchfield, CT, his former stepfather of 20 years, Ernest S. Castellano of Punta Gorda, FL, his son, Aiden T. Roberts and his mother Leesha Shafford of Seattle, WA, his daughter, Kaylee A. Roberts and her mother, Shayna Pool of Seattle, WA, his sisters, Heather L. Roberts of Westerly, RI, Christine (Roberts) Derwitsch (Jake) and their son, Joseph of Torrington, CT, Stacey (Roberts) Rosenquist (Mike) and their daughters, Madison and Baby Skylar of Torrington, CT, his uncle, Raymond Janson of Canton, CT, his cousin, Raymond Janson (Hannah Gangaware) and their daughter, Catherine Janson of Longmeadow, MA, his cousin, Tracy Janson of Kensington, CT, his aunt and uncle, Helen (Roberts) and Barry Bent of Massachusetts, his aunt and uncle, Jean (Roberts) and John Hannon of Dartmouth, MA, his uncle, Craig Roberts of Spartanburg, SC and several cousins, nieces and nephews are also part of his extended family.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield.
