Charles William Weik, Jr., 93, passed away November 12, 2019 at Litchfield Woods. He was the husband of 70 years of Lorraine (Curtiss) Weik.
Born February 24, 1926 in Stamford to the late Charles William and Leila (Raymond) Weik, Sr. Charlie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a Master Finish Carpenter for many years. Charlie was a longtime member of the Morris Volunteer Fire Department and had also served on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
In addition to his wife Lorraine, Charlie is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Kolatsky and her husband Thomas, Jacqueline Byrne and her husband Stephen and Nancy Way, six grandchildren, James and Michael Wheeler, Thomas, Daniel and Kate Kolatsky and Stephen Way Jr., three great grandchildren, Emma, Ava and Mason Wheeler. He was predeceased by his daughter, Deborah Weik and his son-in-law, Stephen Way Sr.
Family and friends may gather at the Thurston Rowe Funeral 283 Torrington Road in Litchfield on Saturday November 30, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A service in celebration of Charlie’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by military honors. Burial in East Morris Cemetery will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Morris Fire Company, P.O. Box 527, Morris, CT 06763.
