Obituary for Carolyn Jean Shreders
Litchfield- Carolyn Jean (Bigos) Shreders, 74, passed away on January 30, 2020 at Keystone Place, in Torrington. She was the wife of the late Wayne S. Shreders, Sr. Carolyn was born in Torrington, on March 12, 1945, a daughter of Ruth (Furer) Bigos and the late Michael Bigos.
She graduated from Litchfield High School, and went on to become an LPN. After raising her children, she worked for White Flower Farm and then became a Master Gardener for Tony and George at Arethusa Farm.
Carolyn was a member of 4-H Club and loved to garden, cook and most of all spend time entertaining her family and friends.
In addition to her mother Ruth, Carolyn is survived by a daughter Wendy Shreders and her companion Wayne Stitzer, a son, Wayne S. Shreders, Jr. and his wife Kimberly, two grandsons, Riley and Samuel Shreders, three sisters, Mary Green, Nancy Vail and Michele Peila and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5pm to 7pm at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Rd., Litchfield.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
