Obituary for Carole A. Beach
LITCHFIELD – Carole A. “Lucy” (Winton) Beach, 83, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2019 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Beach.
Carole was born and raised in Waterbury, Conn., the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Brodrick) Winton. She married Richard Beach and together they raised their family in Litchfield.
She is survived by her six children, Richard Beach of Goshen, Anthony Beach and wife, Carol, of Litchfield, Kathaleen Wilson and husband, Martin, of Torrington, Arthur Beach and wife, Sandy, of Winsted, Susan McGhee and husband, Shawn, of Torrington and Carolyn Graham and husband, John, of Litchfield; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Richard, Carole was predeceased by her son, Bruce Beach and two grandsons, David Huften and Art Eisenberger.
Carole was an avid UConn Basketball fan, enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, playing with her cat Charlie, but most of all spending time with her family and friends. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did. She was a strong and beautiful woman who touched many lives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49 South Street, Litchfield. Burial will be private. Friends and family may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield.
