Blake Fuessenich French, 67, passed away on October 22, 2020 at Hartford Hospital after a long battle with M.S. He was the husband and best friend of Yvette Bellmay French.

Blake was born on August 30, 1953, son of the late Arthur and Betsy French of Litchfield. He was the brother of Faith French, Betsy McGoldrick and the late Robert Bigelow, father of Jennifer Caprari and uncle to several nieces and nephews.

He loved being outdoors, tinkering with anything that had an engine, especially with his cousin and best buddy, Tyler “Slim” Fuessenich.

He was loved by many and treasured by the Bellmay family. He will be truly missed.

My sympathies on the loss of Blake. I remember you would talk about him when you worked with me at CT Electric so long ago.

Although I haven’t seen Blake in over 30 years, I have thought about him often. We had a special friendship many years ago and I am sad to hear of his suffering and passing. He had a soft sensitive soul and will be welcomed in heaven with Betsy and Art and Old Dog and Ma Bellmay. My condolences to all of you who were lucky to be with him And love him throughout his life.

Blake. I have known you since I was very young when you started dating my sweet sister Yvette. I will always cherish the memories of us riding around in your van, Camping at your cabin, canoeing on the lake, hanging out at your house. And hearing the Rolling Stones for the first time with you and Yvette. You are a special person to me and I will miss you so much. Your kindness knew no bounds. Rest my sweet sweet brother in law. I Love you.

I've known Blake for approximately 50 years. He's been family for 44 years, when he started dating my sweet sister Yvette. He became my brother in law on May 20,1995. Needless to say I have many, many memories. I will cherish those memories forever. I love you Blake! XOXO RIP
