Obituary for Beverly P. Digimas

Morris - Beverly P. Digimas, 78, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at her home in Morris surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Beverly Jean was born in Charleston, SC on October 2, 1944, daughter of the late Joseph G. Piening and Maybelle Rose (McLain) Piening. She graduated from the Medical College of South Carolina as a Medical Technologist and began her career at Charleston VA Hospital. She relocated to Morris, CT in 1976 where she continued to work as a Medical Technologist at Bristol Hospital. She went on to pursue a career in the restaurant business as co-owner of Tavern in Town Bar and Restaurant in Bantam. She ended her work career in Member Relations at the Litchfield Athletic club, retiring in 2018.
Beverly Jean loved to dance, which she started as a young child. She loved to knit and often donated her afghans. She was an avid exerciser and loved her classes at the Gym. She loved animals namely her cats Charlie and Bailey. Beverly Jean enjoyed traveling with her family and spending time with her friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Brennan and her husband, Jim, of Morris; two sons, Richard Eadie of Dryden, NY and Jonathan Digimas and his wife, Kalyn, of Morris; eight grandchildren, Jay Mooney, Nick Brennan (Morgan), Megan Eadie (Jason), Beverly Eadie, Peighton Stedge, and Jaden, Jameson, Sophia Digimas; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by an aunt, many cousins, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49 South Street, Litchfield, on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. She will be buried at a later date with her beloved parents in Charleston.
