Alan Douglas Rebillard was born October 28, 1951 in Torrington CT. The son of Es-ther and Nathan Rebillard.

Alan left this world on October 20th, 2020 surrounded by the love of his son Ethen.

Alan was an avid lover of history, reading, animals, and farms. While never formally a contestant of Jeopardy, he spent nights answering every question correctly. He was a member of the Torrington High School class of 1969 as well a member of the Tor-rington Historical Society. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as fishing, camping and trips to the Adirondacks.

Alan is survived by his mother Esther, son Ethen, Sister Marie Kitch and her husband Don, Brothers John Rebillard and Gary Rebillard as well as his wife Tracy. In addi-tion to his siblings and son, Alan leaves behind nieces, nephews and lots of people who loved him dearly.

In memory of Alan the family asks that you practice peace, love and respect.

A private ceremony will be held with just family. In lieu of flowers, memorial dona-tions can be made to the Torrington Historical Society or United Congregational Church.

To Al's(Rebs) Mom,Sister, Brothers family members and Son Ethan,I am so sorry for your loss of Al, a great friend for many years going back to our 20's.We always had a good time when we ran into each other. Also met friend Grover through Al. We went through periods of time where we lost track of each other but then we would run into each other several times in a short period of time at Big Y,Stop & Shop,Market 32(where I saw him the most in Starbucks).I just looked in the window last week hoping to find him.We would sit and talk over coffee for a long time.I will probably look in a few more times, good habits are hard to break. You will be and already are missed.Rest in peace old friend. My Deepest Sympathy,Jim Barber III

Ethan, Mom and family, deepest sympathy for the loss of a kind hearted soul. I met Alan "The Rebster" a few years ago and quickly bonded to him. Great talks about nature and how much smarter animals are than people, also his peaceful way he came onto the world.
During Covid we needed to limit getting out to socialize, or go fishing or change the oil and filters in the tractor, getting mouse nests out etc. We managed to sit around the fire and make some really great food and tell our best Ghost Stories.
Going to miss that guy.
Peace in your heart, till we meet again.

We are so sorry for your loss. I will miss the chats we had and helping him out when I could. I tried calling him a few times in the past few weeks, and when he did not answer I feared the worst. I am glad he was not alone at his transition.
