Adaline “Skip” W. Tofield
Age 92, passed away November 22, 2019 in Fort Myers, FL formerly of Torrington, CT.
Skip was the wife of the late Ellsworth A. Tofield and pre-deceased by her siblings Franklin, Melvin and Ruth and her long-time companion Robert.
She loved spending time with her family and she will be missed by all who loved her.
She leaves behind her three loving daughters: Karen T Paganini (David), Candace T Barr (Robert) and Kathy T. Johnson (Brandon). Her seven grandchildren and their spouses: Leslie Fenn (Jamie), Kelly Curtiss-Longi (Bill), Jeff Grammatica (Jackie), Kim Mallett (Jarrett), Brandon Johnson (Kristin), Taylor Johnson and Jordan Johnson -who believes he was the favorite (Diana). Ten great grandchildren: Christopher, Marcus, Grace, Jillian, Harrison, Brockton, Bryce, Jordan, Layla and Julian whom she adored and who lovingly bestowed the name Gigi to her; along with several nieces and nephews.
Skip also leaves behind her wonderful, caring friends with whom she had great times throughout her entire life. The beach, card games, baseball games, lunches, dinners, Dewar’s, winning the title “Farkle Queen” were just a few of the many things they all did together. She enjoyed all of them and they made her days full and happy.
She attended Litchfield Schools and graduated Litchfield High School.
She was employed at the Torrington Company for 30 years.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
